In fact, you probably only looked at the title and became too lazy to read. After several attempts to get to use my iPhone again after updating to iOS 6.1.2, I was finally able to activate the phone. I don't see any "I bricked it over and over".Īfter writing this reply, this tells me you didn't read through the whole post properly. As I reached out my hand, it grabbed my hand, held a firm grip, and allowed me to unbrick it and downgrade my iPod to 5.0.1. Then I saw I had saved my SHSH blobs for 5.0.1. Actually, that's not even what I said at all. That's not even fucking close to what I said. Plus, claiming you bricked your device over and over (when there is no fucking way to do that) makes you lose credibilityĪlso, I never claimed I bricked my device "over and over". The word "Accidentally" isn't even in the post. I said it would be a reoccurring error for me where a slight miscalculation might happen and instead would kick me into Pwned DFU mode instead of normal DFU mode. I never said I "Accidentally" enter Pwned DFU mode. Sometimes, we make the mistake and start counting at "1.2.3." instead of "0.1.2." (which is the correct way to do it). That counting method implies for those who count verbally. Read what I actually said:Īlways start counting from 0, because if you immediately start at 1 and count to 10, you actually count 9 seconds. Don't start counting from zero because you'll count wrong? WTF? It's only confusing to follow that DFU Mode guide if you don't have that problem. My method of entering DFU mode is for people who conduct the correct DFU Mode method but always end up in Pwned DFU mode every time. You seemed to have misread the post, a lot. Whenever people have problems, its because of one little specific thing they didn't do. I tried to make this guide as specific as possible. If it involved anything with errors, I will only answer such questions until 4/14/14 at 11:59 PM USA EST (one week from when this post was posted). If you have any questions or whatever, comment below. I upgraded to 6.1.6, and did the guide above. As I reached out my hand, it grabbed my hand, held a firm grip, and allowed me to unbrick it and downgrade my iPod to 5.0.1.Ī new start at the old finish line. I tried rejailbreaking again, but this was a hell of a battle. I tried to push my hands into it, but they went through it. But suddenly, Cydia appeared! But it was holographic. So I went to Settings and erased all Content and Settings. After jailbreaking with Redsn0w, Cydia was shy of its appearance. Then I figured that I'd have to try to jailbreak it on 6.1.6. It made no sense, considering that what I was doing wasn't even related to it. But, as I was walking over a sewer hole in the street of "iTunes" and Avenue "Version 11.0.5.5" trying to downgrade to 6.1.5, the hole erupted under me and blasted a ton of bullshit. Step 4: Go "Services> and shut down the "World Wide Web Publishing" Service to allow the TSS Server on Tiny Umbrella to start.Īll was good, Error 3194 ceased to exist. Note, it has to be 6.0 IPSW to trick redSn0w into allowing the jailbreak option. Step 3: Go to Extras, then "Select IPSW" and select the 6.0 IPSW you downloaded earlier. Step 2: Right Click the Redsn0w Application, hit Properties and go to Compatibility and Select "Run this program compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Step 1: Download the latest version of Redsn0w and the IPSW 6.0 for your iPod Touch 4G (since this is what this guide is on, I'm sure it can apply to whatever other device allows iOS 6.1.6). I write this guide to not only tell you how to Untether jailbreak iOS 6.1.6, but to share my adventures and battles of achieving such a jailbreak.
